Paper presentations may report on empirical studies and/or applied research (e.g. case studies). Each individual paper presentation is limited to 20 minutes, inclusive of a question-and-answer session. Presenters are encouraged to present their papers via PowerPoint slides but alternative audiovisual presentations may be possible, as long as they are kept within the 20 minute time slot. Presenters are advised to provide early notification to the Scientific Committee if they wish to employ an alternative audiovisual presentation format. Presenters who wish to conduct a paper presentation will need to submit an abstract of the paper (in an obligatory format) alongside their current Curriculum Vitae (CV).
Poster presentations allow presenters to report their findings on research with simple designs. Poster presentations are a great opportunity, especially for students, who would like to present the outcomes of their studies following a simple intervention, research with simple or no statistical analyses, or even literature reviews of topics receiving great attention in the area of Criminal and Operations psychology. Presenters are required to organise and represent their information in a suitable format for printing on A1-sized (594mm by 841mm) posters. Each poster presentation is limited to a maximum of TWO A1-sized posters. While there is no prescribed format, presenters are advised to organise their information according to (i) Introduction / Objectives of research, (ii) Methodology, (iii) Results, (iv) Discussion/Conclusion. The posters will be set up in a dedicated time and area and presenters will have the opportunity to interact with delegates and to exchange ideas pertaining to their research. Presenters who wish to conduct a poster presentation will need to submit an abstract of the poster (in an obligatory format) alongside their current Curriculum Vitae (CV).
All paper and posters abstract submissions will be reviewed by members of the Scientific Committee and its review panel, which comprises both practitioner and academic expert reviewers.
